Out Of Our Past

 

Out Of Our Past is a column that appears approximately monthly in the local weekly newspaper, the Boothbay Register. The column, contributed by the historical society since 1988, consists of articles, most of which were written by Barbara Rumsey, director and local historian. Other articles are written by guest authors. The articles are available for purchase individually. Of the 353 articles printed by February 2010, 186 of them have been included in three books put out by the society, entitled Boothbay Region Historical Sketches, with appropriate volume numbers.
