Some of the society's
activities: year-round access to the exhibits, talks and slide shows about local
history,
occasional fundraising parties,
open houses and special events such as temporary exhibits or book signing
parties. The society provides articles on local historical matters to the local
newspaper. (See Out Of Our Past)
Alternated between the articles are photos with extended captions
(See
Photos With Captions.) Since 1984 the
society has reprinted three classic town histories and has published five new
books on Boothbay region history. It has also printed monographs on various
topics. (See Items for Sale)
